Ingredients
- 90g 1833 Cheddar-Grated
- 100g 1833 Cheddar cubed
- 1 x 7g/¾oz sachet of fast-action dried yeast
- 1x Egg yolk
- 2 x tsp flake Dorset Sea salt
- 500ml milk
- 1x tsp sugar
- 25ml warm water
- 225g/ Strong white flour, plain will work for this recipe too, plus extra for dusting
- Cranberries
- Sugar to sprinkle
Method
- First make the pizza dough or white bread dough. To make the dough, sift the flour into a large bowl and stir in the yeast. Mix the sea salt and milk with the tepid water and stir into the flour. Mix with a large wooden spoon until the dough comes together and forms a soft, spongy ball.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it for five minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into small balls and push a dent in to the centre of the dough ball
- Place a cube of 1833 into age of the dough balls along with a cranberry and sprinkle with sugar
- Place oin a baking tray and cook in a hot oven 190c for 20 minutes.
- Serve warm
